As I cleaned up my bedroom today, I took some photos of a few of my DIY projects, shelf spaces, and other decorations and set ups. I compiled a 10 Ways to Decorate Your Bedroom photo list:
#1: Cube shelf spaces are perfect for art supplies or homework.
#2: Keep inspirational scraps and pieces of things around you to nurture creativity.
#3: Lace is invaluable for crafts and clothing DIYs. Find lace at craft supply stores or in your grandmother’s attic.
#4: Create a special place on a shelf with wooden birdhouses, patterned handkerchiefs, photographs, and plants to create a sort of indoor garden.
#5: Origami adds a nice touch, especially when it’s in the same space as bamboo.
#6: Keep a trio of nail polish colors on your dresser for quick use or to bring out your room’s accent colors.
#7: Place a few pretty baubles in a medium-sized shell for display.
#8: Use a metal basket lined with with either newspaper or butcher paper, then fill it with shells.
#9: Use nesting baskets to hold nail polish, lotions, makeup, hair elastics, and extra buttons.
#10: Use a jewelry tree’s lower compartment to hold pretty rings, earrings, pendants, or watches.
#11: Display your favorite greeting and birthday cards on your wall by taping the inside shut and sticking it to a wall with double-sided tape or foam squares. Another less sticky option is to frame it.
#12: Pin designs and sketches on a bulletin board for inspiration and eye-candy.
#12, continued: You could also pin sayings and quotes on your bulletin board as well.
#13: Use metal containers with label slots to hold erasers, beads, paper clips, or pins for sewing.

#15: Use antique brass displays, small thrifted glass cake stands, or any other recycled “holder” to show off shells, jewelry, stamps, or any other thing that looks nice.
